Dark Mofo Festival 2014
As the start of its centenary celebrations Hydro Tasmania partnered with MONA and City of Hobart to present a large-scale lighting installation, transforming Hobart's waterfront. The installation, known as Articulated Intersect, lit up the sky from dusk to dawn during the 2014 festival.
The Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra joined in with the festivities, with a brass quintet of players performing music in the Hydro Tasmania Hobart office foyer, paying tribute to the many migrants who came to Tasmania over the past 100 years to work on the development of Tasmania's hydropower system.
Hydro Tasmania also screened footage from the archives. The Hobart foyer was lit in red each evening during the festival, with images projected onto the windows portraying the operations and the people of the Hydro form the past 100 years, as well as video footages screened on the outside wall of the eastern corner of the building.
